Kipp Security Terms of Service
Effective: October 3, 2026
These terms cover your use of Kipp Security ("Kipp"), the Discord bot, including its commands, its website and dashboard, the web check used for verification, and the support server. By adding Kipp to a server or using its commands, you agree to them. If you don't agree, remove Kipp from your server and stop using it.
"We" means the Kipp Security team, based in Louisiana, United States.

1. The service
Kipp is a free security and moderation bot. Every protection and moderation feature works in every server without paying. To keep a free bot running, there are limits on how much is used: one server owner can have Kipp working in 5 servers for free, and giveaways, staff application queues and custom commands have caps. Protection is never limited: even a server paused for being over the server limit keeps its protection; only commands and settings are paused there.
If an owner has more free servers than that (for example after Kipp Plus ends), they get 14 days to choose which servers Kipp keeps working in. After that, Kipp stays in the other servers and keeps their data, but doesn't respond there until the owner chooses them or adds Kipp Plus. Kipp never leaves a server or deletes its data because of the limit.
Kipp Plus is an optional paid plan for one server: higher limits, the server doesn't count toward the server limit, and a few extras (daily automatic backups, custom appeal forms and a public appeal page, branding, gentler rate limits). Backups taken by hand, appeals with the standard questions, and every protection feature stay free. It's sold monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through a third-party payment site whose own terms also apply. Running Kipp as the server's own bot is included with yearly and lifetime Kipp Plus only. Kipp Plus can also come from a one-time code given out by the Kipp team, or from a receipt you send with /plus claim that the team checks; each code and each purchase covers one server, and Kipp Plus gained with a false, borrowed or reused receipt can be removed without refund. Monthly and yearly Kipp Plus last for the time paid for; when it ends, the server goes back to the free limits, the extras stop (Kipp puts its normal profile back; a custom appeal form is kept but not used), and nothing is deleted. Lifetime Kipp Plus lasts as long as Kipp is running and stays with the server it was bought for (the Kipp team can move it on request). All payments are final and non-refundable, including for unused time and for Lifetime Kipp Plus if Kipp stops running, except where the law requires a refund. If you were charged by mistake, email us or ask in the support server. Kipp Plus can be removed, without refund, from a server that breaks these terms.
We may add, change or remove features at any time. We try to keep Kipp online and working, but it is provided "as is", without guarantees of any kind (see section 7).
2. Discord's rules come first
You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using Kipp. Nothing in these terms allows anything Discord forbids.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Kipp to:
- Break the law, or harass, threaten, dox or discriminate against anyone.
- Abuse the threat database: file false or malicious reports, report people over personal disputes, or report people who never did anything to your server.
- Mass-DM, spam or advertise through custom commands, embeds or giveaways.
- Impersonate Discord, Kipp, another bot or a real person, or collect people's passwords or tokens.
- Break or overload Kipp: probe it for vulnerabilities, get around its rate limits or permission checks, or automate commands to flood it.
- Copy or resell Kipp, or pass it off as your own.
- Abuse member reports: report people to harass them, or flood staff with reports.
- Abuse comments or reviews on the website: spam, links to scams or adult content, harassment, or reviews that aren't your own honest opinion.
- Get around the web check: use someone else's account, or tools meant to hide that you're a second account, to get into a server that banned you.
We may remove access to Kipp for any server or user that breaks these rules. That can include:
- leaving a server;
- blocking someone from using commands;
- ignoring reports from a server.
4. Server owners and staff
- You're responsible for your settings. This covers who you make trusted users or Kipp admins, and what your custom commands, embeds and automatic actions do.
- Kipp acts automatically. Anti-nuke, anti-raid, Auto Mod and Join Gate can ban, kick, time out or quarantine members without asking. Configure them for your community and review what they do. You can see, undo and appeal Kipp's actions with
/case,/unquarantine,/kipp incidentsand/verify. - Give Kipp only the permissions it needs, and keep its role above the roles it has to manage.
- If you turn on the web check, tell your members, for example in your rules or the verify channel, that Kipp checks for second accounts when they verify. Only block networks or browsers for real rule-breaking, and remember that families, schools and phone carriers can share a network.
- Dashboard access follows your settings. Anyone you give Kipp access to can sign in to the dashboard and change what their level allows.
4a. Your members' data
For data about your server's members (cases, notes, logs, tickets, applications, appeals, reports), your server decides what Kipp does and we handle that data for you, only to run Kipp, as these terms and the Privacy Policy describe. We keep it confidential, protect it, only let the Kipp team access it, delete it as the Data Policy says, and tell the server owner without undue delay if it's breached. Our hosting and database providers handle it for us under the same limits.
5. The threat database
Kipp shares one list of accounts it banned for nuking, raiding or scams, plus reports reviewed by the Kipp team, across every server it protects.
- Being listed doesn't mean Discord or any court found you did anything wrong. It means Kipp's protections, or a reviewed report, flagged the account.
- Reports alone never get anyone removed from other servers.
- If you think you're listed by mistake, appeal by email ([email protected]) or in the support server. We review every appeal within 14 days and remove entries we can't back up with evidence.
5a. What you post
Comments, reviews, custom commands, embeds and other things you write with Kipp stay yours. You let us store, show and copy them as needed to run Kipp (for example, showing your review on the Reviews page). You confirm you have the right to post them.
6. The website
- Signing in uses your Discord account. We receive your Discord id, username and whether two-factor authentication is on. If a server's web check blocks throwaway emails, Discord also shares your email so Kipp can check it; only the verdict is kept.
- Comments and reviews are public. The Kipp team may hold, remove or block comments and reviews that break these terms, and may block an account or network from commenting. Blocks can be reviewed: ask in the support server.
- Keep your session to yourself. Sign out on shared computers. You're responsible for what's done while you're signed in.
- Security problems: if you find one, tell us privately in the support server instead of using it.
7. No warranty, and limits on liability
Kipp is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise Kipp will:
- catch every attack;
- never act on someone by mistake;
- always be online;
- never lose data.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using Kipp, or from being unable to use it. That includes:
- lost or deleted messages, channels, roles or members;
- actions Kipp took or didn't take;
- downtime and data loss.
Keep your own records of anything important. Backups made by Kipp are a convenience, not a guarantee.
Where the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to what you paid us for Kipp Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability, or takes away any right, that the law where you live doesn't allow us to limit, exclude or take away (for example, consumer rights over paid Kipp Plus).
8. Ending use
- You can stop any time by removing Kipp from your server. Your server's data is then deleted after 30 days, or at once with
/data reset scope:everything. - We can stop too. We may stop providing Kipp, or any part of it, at any time.
8a. Buying Kipp Plus
You must be old enough to make a purchase where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Purchases go through the payment site's checkout and its terms. If we ever stop running Kipp, we'll announce it in the support server at least 30 days ahead where we can.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The new version is published here with a new effective date, and big changes are announced in the support server. Using Kipp after a change means you accept the new terms.
9a. General
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of these terms right away doesn't mean we give it up.
9b. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana and the federal laws of the United States. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them where you live.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms: email [email protected] or ask in the support server, https://discord.gg/8VHNkm4yU6
